On Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Hughsonville Fire Department held the 110th Installation of Officers and Inspection Dinner. Chief of Department Paul Rogers and Company President Anthony Martino presented firefighters with awards for Life Saving, Unit Citations, Years of Service, “Jason Morse” Company Achievement Award, and the Firefighter of the Year Award.

2023 Swearing in Ceremony

On Sunday, January 1, 2023, the Hughsonville Fire District conducted its annual swearing in ceremony.
Vincent Galvin was sworn in as Fire Commissioner for a five year term (2023-2027) by Fire Commissioner Mark Liebermann.

Sneak Peak of Hughsonville's New Engine(45-11)

Over the past two days members of the Apparatus Replacement Committee took a trip for our final inspection of our new 45-11(Engine). Final Inspection took place at the Pierce Manufacturing Center in Appleton Wisconsin. Our new engine will be a 2022 Pierce Enforcer Engine. This project began in 2020 to replace our 2003 Pierce Enforcer Engine.

VEHICLE CRASH INTO BUILDING LEADS TO STRUCTURE FIRE

On Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 3:05am, the Hughsonville Fire Department and Town of Wappinger EMS were dispatched for a reported motor vehicle crash into a building on Route 9D, just north of Old Hopewell Road. While units were enroute, New York State Police advised Dutchess 911 that the building was now on fire and the driver of the vehicle was unconscious.

Hughsonville FD Responded to Three Vehicle MVA

On August 12th at 4:26pm, Hughsonville Fire Department and Town of Wappinger Ambulance were dispatched to a three car motor vehicle accident on Route 9 between Myers Corners Road and Old Hopewell Road.

Yesterday, at approximately 9:06am, Hughsonville Fire Department was dispatched for a reported vehicle fire endangering a structure. 1st Assistant Chief Paul Rogers arrived on scene and advised the responding Engine(45-11) that there was one pickup truck on fire. On Saturday, August 6, 2022, the HFD, Town of Wappinger EMS and New York State Police were dispatched for a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 9 & Old Hopewell Road. Hughsonville’s District Duty Captain William Beale was the first arriving officer on the scene and reported one patient unconscious and entrapped in the vehicle.
