Hughsonville Firefighters Extinguish Multi-Vehicle Fire

On Monday evening at 6:56pm, Hughsonville FD and New York State Police were dispatched for a reported vehicle fire in the parking lot of 1488 Route 9. Chief of Department Paul Rogers arrived on scene within 3 minutes of the initial dispatch to find two vehicles on fire with an exposure of another vehicle.

The HFD responded with 45-1 (Chief Rogers), 45-2 (Asst. Chief Jerrick), 45-11 (Engine), 45-31 (Tanker), and 45-62 (Utility Truck). Upon arrival of 45-11 (Engine), firefighters stretched one handline to extinguish the fire. Town of Wappinger EMS was requested to the scene to evaluate one patient for minor injuries.

The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division was requested to the scene to assist with the cause and origin of the fire. All units were placed back in service by Chief Rogers at the completion of the scene investigation.
