Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 145!
Troop meetings are scheduled every Thursday from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Hughsonville Fire Department EXCEPT for the first Thursday of each month which is a Patrol Leader Meeting.
This Unit is Boy Led, while our Trained BSA Registered Adult Leaders act as advisors to keep our Scouts safe as they provide the Scouts BSA Program. Skills such as fire-building, advanced cooking in the filed, hiking, knots survival skills, first aid, and backpacking (to name a few) are all focused upon during our Monthly Campouts.
Our Scouting Calendar is active from September through June. We stay busy with Community Service Projects, Hikes, Campouts at various locations, such as Durland Scout Reservation in Putnam Lake, Camp Bullowa in Stony Point, and the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge. Each Summer the Troop goes to a 1-week resident summer camp at a BSA Council Sanctioned facility. We have gone to Onteora Scout Reservation in Livingston Manor and will be at Camp Read in the Adirondeck area in 2023
If you would like to stop by for a visit or find out more information, please contact:
Scoutmaster Kyle Mungavin, Email: kmungavin@icloud.com
*When visiting us at the Firehouse please be aware of the rules for parking and building entry......
PARKING
Park in the lot behind the firehouse. DO NOT park in any spaces with RED striping or in front of any doorways. Please do not drop off people or loiter in front of the back bay doors. Please do not block the flow of traffic at any time going into or out of the parking lot.
ENTRY
There is only one door that is allowed for access into the building, which is in back of the firehouse, next to the large firehouse garage doors.
FIRE ALARM
If there is an active fire alarm in progress as you are parking or about to enter the building, please make sure that you and your family are safely away from any equipment that might be dispatched from the front OR rear of the building. Please remain quiet so that the officials can hear any information that is being broadcast and so they can respond to the call as soon as possible without any interruption or distraction from us.
BUILDING
Please remain in the area that we are holding our meeting and do not investigate or tour any other areas of the firehouse on your own. This is for your safety and that of the fire company.
