On Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 5:37am, the Hughsonville Fire Department was dispatched, under preplanned mutual aid, to assist the New Hackensack Fire Department for a reported barn fire on Widmer Road in the Town of Wappinger. Arriving units found a commercial garage containing multiple vehicles and a fuel tank heavily involved in fire. HFD 45-31 (Engine-Tanker) responded with manpower and established a water supply, assisting with tanker operations. HFD 45-32 (Tanker) responded and was utilized for tanker operations. District Captain William Beale (45-7) responded and assisted with on scene suppression efforts.
