| We thank the residents who participated in last night’s building referendum vote. The final results were 53 opposed and 36 in favor.
We are extremely disappointed by the outcome, as this proposal was centered on addressing critical safety concerns and providing our firefighters with a fire station necessary to operate effectively and safely. These needs remain, and the challenges identified have not gone away.
Despite this setback, our commitment to this community does not waver. Our firefighters will continue to respond and serve with the same level of dedication and professionalism you expect.
The Board of Fire Commissioners will now reassess the proposal and determine how best to move forward in addressing the ongoing safety and operational concerns facing our department. |
